We are currently seeking an experienced manufacturing professional who will support the engineering function, manufacturing tools or subassemblies. The candidate will be able to feedback operational best practices to the engineering team, from his or her experience when manufacturing the tool.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Technician will work closely with the engineering team to ensure the efficient production of tools and subassemblies. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build and assemble tools, including specialized thermite heaters
  • Troubleshoot and conduct root cause analysis of any manufacturing issues based on understanding of melting alloy technology, and downhole thermite heater technology.
  • Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
  • Keep production logs and maintain inventory of job materials.
  • Contribute to operation's and assembly manual content
  • Contribute to design reviews, proposing feedback based on operational experience
  • Complete JSA's and HIR to company standards
  • Ensure a clean and organized work environment
  • Support workplace improvement initiatives in terms of HSE and 5s
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience as a Manufacturing Technician (preferably in a similar industry)
  • Knowledge and practice of 5s principles
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and processes
  • Strong HSE ethics
  • Self-starter and self-motivated, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Good mathematical skill and ability to manipulate data
