We are seeking an experienced Strategic Improvement Consultant to join our Quality and Patient Experience Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing projects, delivering training, and assisting with capability building across the organisation.

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Blackburn North.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate, lead, and support agreed process improvement initiatives using recognised methodologies to deliver measurable outcome improvements.
  • Lead, promote, and foster continuous improvement across all elements of the organisation to support achievement of Best Care goals.
  • Manage the implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives and improvement capability assessment.
  • Support initiatives aimed at building process improvement capability within the Quality and Patient Experience Division and across the organisation.

About You:

  • A degree or relevant industry certification with proven subsequent relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and relevant experience.
  • A qualification in improvement science, preferably LEAN thinking and Six Sigma (desirable but not essential).
  • Demonstrated project-related experience, including working with project management artefacts like PMP, risk plans, etc.
  • Interpersonal and influencing skills to gain acceptance and support of ideas and the ability to modify style to accommodate situations and individuals.
  • Proven ability to assist and coach employees with the implementation of changes arising from improvement initiatives.

  • This position is graded an AV4 under the Ambulance Victoria (Management and Administrative Staff) Enterprise Agreement.
