About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced Principal Water Engineer to join our dynamic Water Infrastructure team in Sydney. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering projects on-time and to a high-quality standard, while ensuring the ongoing collaboration between internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and design of water infrastructure projects, including network and treatment planning and design for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and dedicating the correct resources to each project.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions to complex water infrastructure challenges.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in water and wastewater infrastructure projects, with a strong background in design and construction.
  • Knowledge of water industry standards, codes, and common practices.
  • Ability to provide technical direction and mentor junior engineers.
  • Confidence in utilizing your reputation to bring business to AECOM through networking and delivering high-quality work.
  • Champion new ideas and encourage initiative and innovative techniques and actions.
