Job Title

This is an identified position that aims to increase employment opportunities for Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander People. The role requires in-depth knowledge of Aboriginal culture and the ability to communicate with Aboriginal communities.

We are seeking a professional to join our team to develop and implement key policies and projects to support waterway health and management in Victoria. This involves delivering actions in the Victorian Waterway Management Strategy and Water is Life.

The successful candidate will have proven policy and project management skills, as well as clear communication and collaboration experience. They will also be able to work effectively with our key delivery partners.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification or higher, preferably in science, environmental engineering, natural resource management, environmental law, or a relevant equivalent.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Victoria's water resource management framework, and/or impacts of climate change on water resources (surface water and/or groundwater) or waterway health outcomes.
  • Skills, experience, and knowledge of Aboriginal Culture and contemporary issues affecting Aboriginal Victorians today to deliver culturally informed government policies and services.
