Job Opportunity

Southcare is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to join our clinical team. This is a full-time role where you will work closely with the leadership team to develop and implement strategies that promote growth of the service, improve participant outcomes and business performance.

This role will lead the strategic, operational and clinical delivery of In-Home Nursing Services to participants. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing wound care, catheter management, palliative care, chronic disease support and post-acute care;
  • Overseeing daily operations and delivery of clinical services within a community setting;
  • Supervising nursing staff and managing resources to ensure safe and effective participant care;
  • Clinical leadership, providing guidance and support to the organisation;
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care, care planning, quality indicators and identifying areas for improvement;
  • Overseeing systems for clinical escalation, restrictive practices authorisation and risk identification;
  • Implementing and evaluating policies and procedures related to clinical services;
  • Conducting comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing clinical reviews;

Key Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA;
  • A minimum 5 years post-graduate, clinical experience;
  • Previous leadership experience, mentoring and supporting diverse clinical teams;
  • Demonstrated experience in the community, aged care or similar nursing roles;
  • Strong clinical assessment, decision making and documentation skills;
  • Solid understanding of compliance within regulated environments (Aged Care Quality Standards);
  • Business experience such as risk management, budgets, KPIs and strategy implementation;
  • An understanding of person-centred care and a commitment to work within Southcare's purpose and values;
