Senior Design Leader Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Leader to drive architectural projects and contribute to the development of new opportunities in Sydney, Australia.

  • Develop and lead the design and documentation of various architectural projects, ensuring quality and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to achieve project alignment and excellence.
  • Represent the studio in client meetings, workshops, and site visits, showcasing expertise and building relationships.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to support business growth pursuits and strategic submissions, driving revenue and expansion.
  • Maintain a balanced focus between design/project work and the generation of new opportunities, contributing to the studio's portfolio growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Professional qualification in Architecture.
  • Registered Architect in NSW (mandatory).
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture, demonstrating leadership skills and successful project delivery.
  • Strong design acumen, excellent communication, and documentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
  • Bring sector expertise that complements the studio's portfolio, such as Defence, Data Centres, Energy, Transport, Infrastructure, Airports.
  • Able to work independently and drive initiatives forward, with experience or ambition to develop client relationships and secure new work highly regarded.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Expertise in architectural design and project management.
  2. Strong leadership and team management skills.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  4. Proficiency in industry-standard software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
  5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
