WHS Coordinator Opportunity

Healius is seeking a dedicated WHS Coordinator to join our team in Western Australia on a part-time basis. As a WHS Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in implementing our National WHS Plan, responding to WHS incidents, and identifying systems failures to improve our health and safety processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective WHS strategies to minimize risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Conduct regular WHS audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and industry partners.
  • Investigate WHS incidents and provide timely responses to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide education and training to employees on WHS policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety.
  • Coordinate WHS committee and consultative groups to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field are highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is essential.
  • Previous experience in a WHS role, particularly in the healthcare industry, is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant WHS legislation, regulations, and standards is required.
