Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled WHS Coordinator to join our team in Western Australia on a part-time basis. As a WHS Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the National WHS Plan to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Respond to WHS incidents, issues, and investigations in a timely and effective manner.
  • Identify systems failures and work with colleagues to correct them.
  • Continuously work to improve WHS processes and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate emerging issues and support business units in new projects.
  • Provide advice, support, and education to sites under your remit.
  • Conduct WHS mini-audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
  • Assist in workplace risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Onboard managers and employees to ensure they are trained in WHS policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate WHS committees and consultative groups under your remit.

Requirements

  • Tertiary qualifications in WHS or a related field are highly regarded.
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is essential.
  • Previous experience in a WHS role is required.
  • Knowledge of associated WHS legislation, regulations, and standards is essential.
  • Experience in the provision of safety reporting, including audits, investigations, inspections, and corrective actions.
