Family Engagement Program Manager

Family Engagement Director Role Summary:

The Family Engagement Director is a key position responsible for residential screening and parent education of youth and/or families who have requested the services of our organization. This role works closely with staff, acting as a liaison between parents of placed youth and the agency, providing time-limited aftercare support and networking based on the youth's length of stay in the program.

The Family Engagement Director engages community partners such as Sheriff Offices, schools, churches, job fairs, shelters, and other community resources to share our mission and seek out disadvantaged students who could benefit from our program.

This position supervises Family Engagement Specialists and is directly responsible to the Vice President Programs. The Family Engagement Director ensures that all casework steps are completed efficiently and effectively, managing a caseload of 5% of residential capacity and adding students to the waiting list as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

2. Recruitment, orientation, supervision, in-service training, and evaluations of Family Engagement Specialists">
3. Supervision of the Request for Service process and development of family education throughout the state">
4. Coordination with the Quality Improvement Director in developing policies, procedures, directives, manuals, and training programs pertaining to the admissions process">
5. Maintenance of contact with the program where the youth are located and meetings with the youth at the program site and/or school no less than monthly">
6. Response to incoming inquiries and requests for services within 24 hours, conducting timely in-depth reviews of requests and ensuring completion of all casework steps required for placement consideration">
7. Assistance to families in complying with the Family Agency Agreement through consistent evaluation of the monthly support payment balance and follow-up when necessary">
8. Development, maintenance, and submission of timely accurate case record documentation, mini social histories, 6-month post-placement surveys, outcome measures, and other reports as needed">
9. Identification of community resources and development of alternative plans when services are no longer needed or provided by our organization">
10. Resource knowledge maintenance within the assigned outreach area, including regional Community Based Care organization (CBC), schools, mental health programs, social/human services agencies, sheriff's offices, and other identified agencies">
11. Management, participation, and instruction on various topics required by our organization and its contractual and monitoring agencies">
12. Scheduling of community partner engagements such as schools, shelters, job fairs, churches, and other community resources to share our mission and seek out disadvantaged students">
13. Participation in planning and delivery of family engagement activities such as Family Fun Days, Harmony In the Family, and Weekend TBRI camps">

Requirements:

• Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university">
• LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC in good standing within the state of Florida">
• Experience with personal computers">

Work Environment:

This position requires work in an office environment as well as extensive driving, which may include overnight travel. The work environment and work schedule will vary, and the person in this position must be flexible and adaptable.

Physical Demands:

The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
