About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Data and Analytics technology team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning, designing, building, and operating our data and integration platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and develop the Data Ops & Integration engineering team to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Ensure the team has clarity around priorities and goals, and collaborate with stakeholders to shape the scope of new initiatives.
  • Contribute to solution architecture and technology decisions for data and integration initiatives.
  • Manage the delivery of minor enhancements and deliverables within the team.
  • Develop and establish engineering standards in collaboration with platform managers and engineering leads.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements on the platforms.
  • Continuously investigate opportunities to optimize and modernize the data and integration platform architecture to enable and support strategic programs across Scentre Group.
  • Manage vendor relationships to deliver features and uplift platform capability.
  • Manage spend on cloud consumption and licensing on platforms to stay within budget.

  • Strategic long-term thinking and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Drive for operational excellence and managing technology risks.
  • Strong process, commercial, and technology acumen.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Calm under pressure and ability to lead by example.
  • Self-manages and self-sufficient.
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing data and integration engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of technology architecture, design, development, configuration, implementation, testing, deployment, and support principles.
  • Experience in designing, building, and operating big data platforms and data warehouses on cloud at scale.
  • Advanced skills in cloud data platforms and adjacent technologies.
  • Proficient in container technology (Kubernetes and Docker).
  • Skilled at establishing deep relationships, stakeholder management, and influencing.
