About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Analytics to join our team at AirTree Ventures Pty. As a key member of our data team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data assets to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Assets Development: Translate business requirements into reusable data models/assets using dbt, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Data Assets Cataloguing and Documentation: Develop and maintain documentation of core and business-specific data models/assets.
  • Reverse ETL and Customer Engagement Platform Support: Develop and maintain data models specifically for our reverse ETL and customer engagement platform use cases.
  • dbt Code Convention and Performance: Maintain and enforce coding conventions and standards across all dbt models, ensuring optimum performance.
  • Intra-Team Collaboration: Work with other data analysts and engineers to translate requirements into reusable and performant data models.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience in the data space as an analytics engineer/data engineer.
  • Demonstrated experience in ETL and data modeling projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in architecting flexible and scalable data warehouse and modeling practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and translate business requirements/metrics into technical data model development plans.
  • Ability to connect the dots between technical implementation work and business context.
Preferred Qualifications
  • dbt experience strongly preferred.
