Control Room Specialist

Security is paramount in the Control Room, where a vigilant operator must be prepared to respond at a moment's notice.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate information clearly and effectively to clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring CCTV cameras and associated equipment
  • Managing various communications to the control room
  • Fire Alarm Response, EWS Mimic Panel Operation (Warden), and providing accurate reports
  • Assisting with emergency situations as they arise
  • Dispersing guards to potential situations caught on CCTV and monitoring situations until the incident is closed
  • Maintaining daily reporting requirements within agreed timelines
  • Coordinating emergency incidents such as fires or bomb threats
  • Risk identification and issue resolution
  • Maintaining security aspects around the Control Room
  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal/external stakeholders
  • Performing general security duties including administration tasks

Requirements:

  • Current QLD Security Licence including control room function
  • Certificate II in Security Operations qualification
  • Confident interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to form effective client and tenant relationships
  • Capacity to produce high-quality performance reports
  • First Aid Qualification and valid CPR
  • Previous Control Room & Monitoring experience
  • Excellent presentation, well-groomed and corporate appropriate
  • Ability to work as part of the Security Team and individually
  • Ability to respond to emergency situations
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
  • Strong multitasking ability
  • High level of computer literacy and MS Office skills
  • Ability to work up to 12-hour shifts
  • 7-day availability
