Fire Engineer Position

We are seeking a skilled Fire Engineer to join our team in Charleville, Cork. As a Fire Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our projects with relevant fire engineering standards.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing fire strategy compliance input to country-wide projects;
  • Developing fire strategies for a wide range of projects using relevant code recommendations;
  • Lodging Fire Safety Certificates and Disabled Access Certificate applications via the Building Control Management System;
  • Leading fire strategy discussions with design teams, clients, and other stakeholders;
  • Supporting BCAR Compliance and preparing fire inspection reports during construction;
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist background with fire safety & disabled access certification;
  • A postgraduate or bachelor's degree in fire engineering (preferable);
  • A strong understanding of fire safety engineering and a desire to develop your career further in this field;
  • Familiarity with relevant codes and standards, including Part B & M, BS 9999, BS 5588, etc.;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite (Excel);
  • An excellent English level - written and spoken;
