Expert Fire Strategist

Job Overview

• Deliver fire strategy compliance input to nationwide projects.
• Develop comprehensive fire strategies for a wide range of projects, using relevant international codes and standards.
• Prepare and lodge Fire Safety Certificates and Disabled Access Certificate applications via the Building Control Management System.
• Lead fire strategy discussions with design teams, client representatives, building control, and fire services.
• Understand and implement insurer requirements to reduce property damage and business interruption risk.
• Support BCAR Compliance and prepare fire inspection reports during construction.
• Supervise and train graduates on fire engineering principles and practices.
• Perform quality review checks for deliverables.

• Qualified Architect or Architectural Technologist with 5+ years' experience and fire safety & disabled access certification background.
• Postgraduate or bachelor's degree in fire engineering preferred.
• Strong understanding in fire safety engineering and desire to develop career further in this field.
• Familiar with relevant codes and standards: Part B & M, BS 9999, BS 5588, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft suite (Excel).
• Excellent English level - written and spoken.
• Knowledge of architectural specific design standards and building regulations.
• Ability to interact with engineering disciplines, clients, and vendors at all levels.

Key Skills:

• Experience using REVIT and BIM desirable.
• Familiar with BCAR and BCMS.
