Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to support the design and development of battery energy storage systems (BESS). As an integral member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of grid-scale BESS projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and analyze various energy storage technologies, products, and vendors to provide expert advice on technology selection and implementation.
  • Develop and review detailed engineering designs, technical specifications, cost estimates, and construction documents for BESS projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, structural, fire & life safety, high-voltage electrical, SCADA/telecommunications, water, and geotechnical engineers, to develop comprehensive design packages.
  • Provide technical guidance and assistance to our team and clients, ensuring seamless project execution.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis is required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in BESS design, distributed generation, renewables, electrical distribution, or power system controls is essential.
  • Deep understanding of BESS technologies and their integration into traditional power generation and renewables generation facilities is crucial.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary for interacting with diverse stakeholders.

The compensation package for this position includes a competitive salary range of $77,207 - $133,515 AUD per annum, commensurate with skills, experience, education, and location.
