Community Engagement Specialist

Job Description:

This role involves providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals experiencing Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) related issues.

As a Community Engagement Specialist, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide shared-care for clients, demonstrating clinically meaningful progress towards client-centred goals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions for individuals with AOD related issues
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide shared-care for clients
  • Working with at-risk and vulnerable people with dual diagnosis
  • Using your skills in providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications appropriate to the position, such as social work or counselling
  • Completed the AOD Skill Set (AOD Core Competencies)
  • Demonstrated experience working with at-risk and vulnerable people with dual diagnosis
  • Demonstrated knowledge in providing evidence-based psychotherapeutic interventions for dual diagnosis
