Job Description

The role of a Nutrition Specialist is to lead educational campaigns promoting healthy eating awareness, develop balanced menu plans for large catering contracts, and provide high-level nutritional support and advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement healthy menu plans that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Educate and influence clients on the principles of healthy eating and dietary guidelines.
  • Collaborate with executive chefs to ensure meals meet specific dietary needs.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of menu items to ensure nutritional balance and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead educational campaigns and workshops to promote healthy eating awareness among clients and staff.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on special diets, food allergies, and other dietary considerations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • Registration as an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in dietetics, preferably in catering, aged care, or public health facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of dietary guidelines, nutrition, and food safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
