
Global Technical Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and advice to field sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Support: Prepare and maintain work packages, technical procedures, control sheets, methods, and documentation for installation teams.
- Risk Management: Anticipate risks and opportunities proactively and raise them to the Project Team.
- Schedule Coordination: Maintain the Field Service schedule and coordinate dates with the Project Team and customer.
- Specifications and Procedures: Prepare specifications, technical procedures, and work descriptions for installation subcontractors and evaluate their bids/offers.
- Customer Facilitation: Facilitate clarifications with customers.
- Design Review: Participate in design review meetings and ensure field-related design considerations are taken into account.
- HSE and Quality Plans: Ensure the availability of HSE, quality plans, and documents.
- Project-Specific Procedures: Develop and ensure the availability of project-specific procedures and safety assessments.
- Site Planning: Determine site layouts, tooling/fixtures, and site infrastructure requirements.
- Target Achievement: Monitor target achievement regarding quality, schedule, costs, and support corrective actions.
- Resource Allocation: Facilitate identification and allocation of required internal and external resources.
- Teamwork: Coordinate teamwork between site and back-office.
Requirements:
- University Diploma: University diploma in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Turbine Experience: Experience and technical understanding of turbines, generators, and balance of plant equipment.
- Project Management Skills: Project management, sub-supplier handling, and scheduling experience.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules, and budgets.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Literacy: Fully computer literate with MS Office, SAP, and Primavera P6 knowledge.
- Desirable Competencies: Desirable competencies in AutoCAD, Solid Edge software, or equivalent.
- Language Skills: Highly developed written and verbal communication skills in English; additional languages beneficial due to international team setup.
- Leadership Skills: Team player with strong leadership and project management skills.
- Work Commitment: Willingness to stay in Australia for the project duration (approx. 3-4 years).
