Job Summary

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Orthopaedic Surgical Fellow to join our team at Port Arthur. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend clinics and x-ray meetings on a regular basis to stay up-to-date with the latest medical developments.
  • Assist in educating and training junior medical staff, including AOA set trainees, unaccredited orthopaedic registrars, and medical students.
  • Participate in quarterly audits and weekly case reviews to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
  • Engage in monthly journal clubs to stay current with the latest research and developments in the field.
  • Contribute to research projects in the orthopaedic department to advance our understanding of orthopaedic surgery.
  • Participate in the on-call registrar roster to provide 24/7 coverage.
Requirements
  • Recently gained Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or completion of training for FRACS and waiting to be awarded Fellowship.
