Orthopaedic Surgical Fellow

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an Orthopaedic Surgical Fellow to join the Tasmanian Government's Department of Health. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, contributing to the delivery of high-quality surgical services to patients in the Northern Region.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the coordination and training of Surgical Registrars and Resident Medical Officers (RMOs)
- Participate in the development and implementation of targeted activities to improve the delivery of general surgical services
- Contribute to the education and training of AOA set trainees, unaccredited orthopaedic registrars, and medical students
- Attend and participate in quarterly audits, journal clubs, and research projects
- Participate in the on-call registrar roster
- General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Recently gained Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) or completion of training for FRACS and waiting to be awarded Fellowship
- Competitive salary range of $182,000 to $200,000 per annum, pro rata
- 11.5% superannuation
