Environmental Field Technician Trainee

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Environmental Field Technician Trainee. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop your skills and knowledge in environmental monitoring, working outdoors in various locations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with environmental monitoring by collecting air, dust, soil, and water samples from mining sites, power stations, and industrial facilities. They will also record and report data, process samples, complete pre-start checks, attend site inductions, liaise with clients, and use spreadsheets and maps to support fieldwork.

  • This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors and have a strong interest in the environment and conservation.
About You
  • You must be hardworking, trustworthy, committed, and reliable.
  • A positive attitude and genuine interest in the trade are essential.
  • You should be able to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Punctuality and reliability are critical.
  • You must be technically minded with a high attention to detail.
  • A driver's licence – Open licence preferable / P2 minimum – is required.
  • Flexibility is required for occasional after-hours call-outs.
  • A White Card or willingness to obtain one is necessary.
  • You must successfully pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol check.
