About the Role:

The Discovery Centre Volunteer plays a vital role in assisting our team in operating the centre and related programs. As a volunteer, you will provide exceptional customer service and support for visitors engaging with interactive games, assist in implementing schools' programs by supporting students with hands-on activities, and conduct science activities on the discovery centre trolley for patients at Perth Children's Hospital.

  • Assist the Welcome Crew & Education and Outreach Team in operating The Kids Discovery Centre and related programs and activities.
  • Provide excellent customer service and operational support for visitors engaging with interactive games in the Discovery Centre.
  • Help implement The Kids schools' program by supporting students with hands-on activities.
  • Conduct science activities on the Discovery Centre trolley for patients at Perth Children's Hospital.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and have a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. You will also need to undergo a Working with Children Check and provide proof of eligibility to volunteer.
