Mineral Characterisation Researcher

This is an opportunity to conduct advanced mineral characterisation as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The team aims to determine processes responsible for by-product critical element mineralisation in major ore minerals or their deportment during mineral processing.

  • The researcher will work under the supervision of Dr. Denis Fougerouse, a world leader in nanoscale characterisation of minerals and an expert in ore mineralisation systems.
  • The project offers a unique chance to engage in cutting-edge research and contribute to pioneering projects in the field of green energy transition.
Key Responsibilities:
  • To determine processes responsible for by-product critical element mineralisation in major ore minerals or their deportment during mineral processing.
  • To conduct advanced mineral characterisation using various techniques such as electron microscopy and spectroscopy.
  • To collaborate with other researchers in the team to achieve common goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A PhD in a relevant field such as geology, materials science or chemistry.
  • Experience in mineral characterisation using various techniques such as electron microscopy and spectroscopy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
