**The Opportunity**

The Nutrition in Early Life (NIEL) team conducts cutting-edge research into nutritional interventions that support maternal and child health, including the prevention of allergic disease.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Research Assistant to support the delivery of a clinical trial. In this role, you will be responsible for the screening, recruitment, randomisation, and follow-up of participants during the intervention period. You will communicate regularly with trial participants and antenatal clinic staff, assist with outreach and engagement activities, and ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Engaging with potential participants and confirming study eligibility.
- Coordinating informed consent and maintaining accurate records.
- Supporting intervention delivery, including dietary education and compliance.
- Ensuring timely participant follow-up and promoting retention.
- Collaborating with team members and antenatal clinic staff across multiple sites.

This is a part time role, 0.6 FTE for a period of 12 months.

**About You**

We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

- Completion of secondary school.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
- Experience with data entry and electronic data management systems (e.g. REDCap).
- Availability for occasional weekend or evening work for recruitment activities.
- A valid WA driver's licence and access to a personal vehicle (travel reimbursement provided).
- Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check.
