Job Title

Technical Expert - Unix Admin

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Expert to join our team in the Data Centre Operations Team. As a Technical Expert, you will be responsible for the operations and maintenance of the Telstra Defence Terrestrial Communications Network (DTCN). Specifically, the Datacentre based compute, operating system, network and management application stacks.

This role will involve working on a variety of technologies, including VMWare Virtualisation, Microsoft Azure, RedHat Unix, F5 Load Balancers, HP Compute, and Lenovo Compute. You will be responsible for managing changes within the environment, maintaining the DTCN Baseline, and looking for opportunities to improve the DTCN platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all facets of the DTCN platforms
  • Restore elements to working order
  • Proactively look for potential issues
  • Manage changes within the environment
  • Maintain the DTCN Baseline
  • Look for opportunities to improve the DTCN platforms

Requirements:

  • Hold a minimum of NV1 AGSVA security clearance
  • Be responsible for all facets of managing the DTCN platforms
  • Restore elements to working order
  • Proactively look for potential issues
  • Manage changes within the environment
  • Maintain the DTCN Baseline
  • Look for opportunities to improve the DTCN platforms
