About Us
Asset Services OfficerWe are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Asset Services Officer in Griffith. This is an ongoing full-time role that offers a unique opportunity for career growth and development within the Department of Education.
About School InfrastructureSchool Infrastructure (SI) is responsible for delivering new school buildings, major upgrades, and maintenance strategies to ensure every child has access to high-quality education facilities at their local public school. Our department invests heavily in infrastructure to provide world-class learning environments for students.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing asset services to a group of schools within the Asset Management region. Key responsibilities include working with consultants, contractors, and other asset management staff to support the design, development, and construction phases of projects. The candidate must also deliver capital works projects and all aspects of facilities management, ensuring timely and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Liaising with stakeholders to manage project timelines and budgets
- Coordinating with consultants and contractors to develop project plans and specifications
- Providing facilities management services to support the smooth operation of schools
- Construction Project Management or Trade experience
- Excellent customer service skills in dealing with key stakeholders
- Knowledge in scope writing, along with the ability to estimate project costs and manage budgets
