Skilled Mechanical Maintenance Specialist

A skilled mechanical maintenance specialist is required to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and breakdown maintenance tasks, as well as making repairs and adjustments to mechanical machines and instruments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring maximum equipment uptime through effective and efficient maintenance practices
  • Making and fitting mechanical parts, and repairing appliances to maintain optimal condition
  • Meeting company safety and housekeeping requirements, and adhering to relevant regulations
  • Demonstrating ability to identify faults, troubleshoot, and rectify problems

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Mechanical trade qualifications and post-trade experience of at least 2 years
  • Experience in maintenance and repair in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of work planning and scheduling procedures
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance work management practices
  • Sound computer skills
  • Effective and efficient fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of WHS regulations/procedures
  • Confined Space and BA Competence highly desired
