Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled mechanical technician to complete hands-on activities such as repairs, installations, maintenance, testing, modifications, and diagnosis of issues to service equipment in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Completing repairs, installations, maintenance, testing, modifications, and diagnosis of issues on customer equipment.
  • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, meeting quality and safety expectations.
  • Working effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required.
  • Communicating effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualifications (e.g., diesel, mechanical, or hydraulic fitting).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
  • Sound knowledge of hydraulic fault finding, servicing/repair, and testing/commissioning procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics, along with sound service report writing capabilities.
  • Hydraulic hose manufacturing skills.
  • Basic understanding of transport equipment (e.g., cranes, tippers, tail lifts).
  • Basic understanding of electrical wiring.
  • Mig welding skills (advantageous).
  • Fabrication skills (advantageous).
  • Valid driver's license and demonstrated commitment to safety.
