As a swimming instructor, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to students and community members. The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, passion, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and enjoyable learning environment for swimmers of all ages.

This role involves inspiring a love for swimming while prioritising water safety. Proven experience as a swimming instructor and the ability to collaborate effectively within a dynamic team are essential.

The program operates between Monday to Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings during school terms. Opportunities to work within the holiday program during term and potential for additional hours during school hours exist.

Key qualifications include:

  • Minimum 12 months experience as a swimming instructor
  • Ability to engage with and motivate program participants
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Commitment to high customer service standards and foster positive relationships
  • Reliable and punctual to rostered shifts

Additional requirements include:

  • Must be over the age of 18 years old
  • Working with Children's Check permit (Employee)
  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety qualification or equivalent
  • CPR (HTLAID001)
  • AUSTSWIM extension courses or equivalent
  • Australian Pool Lifeguard Certificate
  • Provide First Aid (HLTAID003)
