Account Director

This is a leadership role where you will be responsible for managing and having overall responsibility for key customers with an accountability for service delivery excellence, financial management and growth across the account.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with managers, team leaders and technical service staff to ensure service delivery objectives are met.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of Service Operations standards & practices for the customer contract.
  • Engage with the customer to identify project and service opportunities.
  • Form strong relationships with the customer building an understanding of customer requirement and business drivers.

Client Management:
  • Manage the client relationship to ensure we are front of mind with solution and service offerings.
  • Assist the client to adopt and implement new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances.
  • Anticipate and assess issues, risks and opportunities facing our company and apply effective solutions.
  • In partnership with our sales team, position us for new solutions & services as part of an IT strategy.

Contract Management:
  • Manage the services to ensure they are delivered within the scope of the contract and negotiate contract variations as required.
  • Define requirements for new services as part of an IT service strategy. Ensure such services are professionally introduced & accepted.
  • Adopt and implement new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances.
  • Anticipate and assess issues, risks and opportunities facing our company and apply effective solutions.
  • Manage service risks, control service costs & improve productivity of the contract in order to increase profitability & continually improve cost effectiveness.

Requirements:
  • Proven senior experience (10 years) in leadership or management roles in an IT managed services or IT focused service delivery environment
  • Significant experience in leading, managing and progressing technical or diverse operational teams
  • Experience in contract management – preferably managed services contracts
  • Good understanding of the sales process (lead identification, qualification through to closure)
  • Ability to engage with all levels of Technical and Managerial staff
  • Demonstrated high level of relationship management skills
  • Ability to present compelling proposals and influence continuous improvement
