Job Overview

This is a rare opportunity to take on a leadership role within our tax function.

  • Manage the tax team with a focus on strategic advisory and compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders, offering a genuine scope for impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and manage all taxation compliance activities across Australia and international jurisdictions.
  2. Provide timely and accurate advice on corporate transactions, policies, and compliance.
  3. Review major contracts for tax implications with a focus on risk mitigation.
  4. Lead the implementation and oversight of our Tax Risk Management and Governance Framework.
  5. Build relationships with Revenue Offices, external auditors, and tax advisors (domestic and international).
  6. Partner with senior stakeholders to embed tax awareness and support decision-making.
  7. Guide and develop a team of professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in corporate tax roles, with strong knowledge of Australian taxation law.
  • Exposure to international taxation issues such as permanent establishments and transfer pricing.
  • Understanding of Tax Governance and Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Ability to collaborate with business leaders on tax impacts of contracts, transactions, and strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to present complex tax concepts clearly.
  • Experience leading and developing teams with a proactive leadership style.
  • CA / CPA membership (mandatory), with a Graduate Diploma in Taxation highly regarded.
