Murrumba State Secondary College is located in a beautiful part of Brisbane's northern suburbs, with easy access to the thriving city, the relaxing foreshores of Moreton Bay or the endless beaches of the Sunshine Coast.
The college opened in 2012 and has rapidly become the school of first choice in the Murrumba Downs area. The educational institution features world-class learning programs, delivered in impressive and expansive new facilities, and a wide range of innovative learning technologies.
We are seeking a passionate and committed leader for the position of Lead Teacher - Junior Secondary / Spanish.
The successful applicant will lead the continued development and implementation of programs, systems and processes regarding curriculum, teaching and learning in the HPE faculty.
About the Role:
- Develop and articulate a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with students, parents, other government agencies, and community groups.
- Be futures-oriented and strategic.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting schooling, especially in relation to students and staff within the faculty.
- Manage human, financial, facilities and curriculum resources to achieve goals.

- Implement socially just practices in daily school life.
- Establish high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engage in ongoing professional development.
