We are seeking a seasoned payroll professional to join our team as a Payroll Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual with extensive knowledge of multiple payroll systems, preferably with an accounting and/or system implementation background.

The role involves managing and maintaining payroll processes, ensuring compliance and driving system improvements for clients. You will work autonomously and be responsible for:

  • Managing and processing payroll for multiple clients across multiple payroll systems
  • Maintaining expertise in multiple payroll systems (e.g., Xero, MYOB, Micropay)
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations
  • Collaborating with teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and streamline processes
  • Implementing and optimizing payrolls
  • Providing training and support where required
  • Analyzing and troubleshooting payroll issues
  • Developing and maintaining payroll documentation and reporting

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end payroll processing
  • Accounting, Finance and/or HR/Recruitment background would be an advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of multiple payroll systems
  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
  • Ability to interpret and implement Awards, and Agreements
  • Experience implementing and/or optimizing payroll systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work efficiently to deadlines
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Setup to work remotely
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
