Operational Risk Manager

This role is a key contributor to the delivery of first line risk activities across Liquidity & Implementation, focusing on operational risks when trading in listed markets.

  • Implement and maintain the Risk Framework for Liquidity & Implementation, ensuring it remains up-to-date and relevant.
  • Collaborate with the L&I team to develop and implement operational risk strategies and frameworks, aligning with business objectives.
  • Provide clear and comprehensive communication to stakeholders on key operational risk matters, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Migrate off-platform processes to core systems, enhancing efficiency and reducing operational risk.
  • Ensure integration of specific risk areas within the overall risk framework for L&I, maintaining a cohesive approach.
  • Contribute to risk reporting and dashboards, providing data-driven insights for informed decision-making.
  • Facilitate control testing with IGA and Group Risk teams, ensuring robust controls are in place.
  • Support the Principal in delivering the risk and control plan for the Department, driving continuous improvement.
  • Oversight of junior members' technical knowledge and risk practices, promoting professional development.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors, ensuring audit requirements are met.
  • Deliver timely risk reporting with data analysis, providing actionable insights on risk profiles within L&I.
  • Manage and monitor risk areas for L&I, integrating them into the overall risk framework and recording in the GRC system.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis for L&I incidents, identifying control weaknesses and implementing corrective actions.
