Job Description:

A strategic financial professional is sought to provide expert financial analysis and insights to clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing budget submissions, providing analysis, and reconciling financial statements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of agency/department budget submissions for a 10-year period and full-year forecast submissions for the current financial year.
  • Review of additional budget requests in TM1 to ensure financials are aligned to business cases and submitted correctly in different financial systems.
  • Provision of insights and analysis; working through complex financial statement analysis and reconciling between different financial systems.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Strong experience with reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation.
  • Previous experience in FP&A roles is essential, and previous SAP/TM1 experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with IBM analytics.
  • Eligibility for membership of a recognised professional accounting body such as CPA Australia or Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
  • A proven record in accounting and experience in the public sector would be an advantage.
