About the Role - Occupational Therapist, Grade 2 (Full time temp maternity leave position)
Join Monash Health as an Occupational Therapist and be part of a pioneering interdisciplinary service to improve the health and wellbeing of children. This temporary full-time role offers a unique opportunity to work collaboratively with a passionate multidisciplinary team.
The Monash Children's Local Mental Health team provides mental health consultation, assessment, and treatment to infants, children and their families. As an integral part of the team, you will provide:
- Assessing and treating children 0 - 11 with mental health difficulties, utilising your expertise in sensory processing and motor development.

This exciting opportunity is based centrally at Cranbourne, with spoke sites across the catchment of Dandenong, Casey, and Cardinia. You will be part of a newly co-designed service with a Transdisciplinary/Multidisciplinary approach.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Current general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) – Occupational Therapy, with no restrictions
- Experience in a mental health service and/or extensive experience in a relevant area of practice (e.g. paediatrics, statutory and non-government agencies for this age population)
- Understanding of current, relevant theory, practice knowledge and evidence in clinical practice
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary assessment and treatment group setting
- Dedicated to safe best practice and quality care
- Committed to the delivery of patient centred care and patient advocacy
- Australian working rights
- Current Drivers Licence
In return, Monash Health offers:
- $95,000 - $115,000 per annum, dependent on experience
