A Quality Assurance Specialist


Description:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

This role will be based at our North Sydney office and will report directly to the Senior Manager, Quality Assurance.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in quality management systems and internal audits, with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with operations, technical, sales, and management staff.

You will be responsible for ensuring that our organization's quality management system is implemented and maintained in accordance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Administering the Enterprise Quality Management Software;
  • Promoting the Quality Policy and measuring quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization;
  • Conducting investigations/internal audits and root cause analyses of Quality incidents and ensuring appropriate corrective/preventive actions are taken;
  • Leading a team of quality auditors (internal or external) when needed;
  • Preparing reports and maintaining documentation of audit results and reviewing at periodic intervals to track progress after the audit;
  • Assisting in the implementation of new Quality Tools;
  • Tracking monthly metrics generated from the Quality Management System and metrics collated from different QA/QC teams, including Customer Feedback, Non-Conformance metrics, audit metrics, etc.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A College or University degree in a Science or related program;
  • Good knowledge of continuous improvement and Quality Management Systems and Internal Audit in a manufacturing environment;
  • Proven teambuilding and leadership skills and the ability to work with operations, technical, sales, and management staff;
  • Willingness to travel and work in plant environment;
  • Excellent organization and planning skills, and attention to detail; must be able to manage multiple tasks with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
