Job Opportunity:

The Venue Manager position presents a unique chance to lead a team of passionate individuals and contribute to the growth of an organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a high-value relationship with local Council
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of visitors and employees through effective planning and oversight of policies, processes, and procedures
  • Coaching and developing leaders to deliver on key performance indicators through engagement, performance planning, and individual development plans
  • Leading and driving a high-performance community-minded culture through highly visible and hands-on leadership and team engagement
  • Achieving performance targets
  • Implementing a high-value customer service proposition that addresses the needs of the client base
  • Recruiting energetic, diverse, and passionate employees as required to complement the team and vision for the Centre
  • Training staff as required to ensure knowledge and capability are at the required levels to enable staff to carry out their work and achieve their objectives
  • Identifying staff and developing career progression paths that lead to transparent and effective succession decisions when required
  • Maintaining facilities to approved standards in line with contract requirements
About You:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

A minimum 2 years' experience in managing a team

Experience managing a leisure, aquatic, or event/function facility

Highly developed communication skills with a flair for positive influencing and negotiating win-win outcomes

Sound knowledge of health and safety requirements

Experience in planning and execution of operational, financial, and people plans to successful outcomes

Current CPR Certificate (or willing to get)

Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2) (or willing to get)

National Police Check

Working with Children Check (or willing to get)

Legal working rights in Australia
