Job DescriptionThe Strategic Sales Director will provide leadership and direction for sales across Australia. This role involves driving sales performance, increasing market share, and ensuring sales objectives align with the overall business strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieving sales growth and profitability throughout the assigned territory.
- Ensuring effective asset management practices to protect company assets.
- Providing assistance in forecasting inventory needs to achieve sales and market share goals.
- Developing standard machine specifications and promoting their adoption.
- Managing and developing sales employees to build a motivated workforce focused on long-term success.
- Identifying future opportunities and competitive pressures.
- Maximising market-based pricing and increasing margins in all equipment groups.
- Contributing to corporate sales strategy development through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, and budgeting.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and goal-driven individual with:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a related industry, accompanied by 5 years in management or business operations.
- Proven ability to build and grow sales in a team environment.
- A solid understanding of business planning, financial management, and achieving goals.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, as well as attention to detail and consistent customer focus.
- Ability to work independently and as a team player, lead by example, take initiative, and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
This role requires flexibility, adaptability, and international travel, with a valid passport and willingness to spend at least 100 days travelling throughout operating locations.
