Job Overview

The role of Senior Area Manager is a functional leader position that requires display values-driven leadership and aligning one's leadership with Executive Management to support a shared culture of unity, support, response, passion, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional stakeholder analysis and management are owned by the Senior Area Manager.
  • Functional ingenuity is driven, and service capacity is optimised.
  • External client delivery and community relationships are led by the Senior Area Manager.
  • Psychological safety is promoted.
  • Strategic agility is driven through uniting strategy and operations.
  • Improvements in cohesiveness are driven by leveraging the impact on self and team.
  • Establishing both formal and informal professional relationships is crucial, requiring successfully building and maintaining rapport with and between stakeholders.
  • Change and continuous improvement are led, driving and implementing change initiatives with team members.
Requirements

The Senior Area Manager must have relevant tertiary qualification in a Youth Work related field (e.g., Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education, Community Work, Child Protection etc.). Additionally, a relevant management qualification of at least a Cert IV in Business Management or equivalent experience engaging in available leadership development/training is required.

  • Significant quality services experience is necessary.
  • Experience and competency using MS suite are required, along with the ability to learn other programs.
  • A valid driver's licence is mandatory.
Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to live and work in Australia, hold an unrestricted driver's licence, and be willing to undergo state-specific checks, including working with children clearance and relevant qualifications.
