A typical day in this role will involve managing all aspects of the HR function, collaborating with department heads and senior management to support the hotel's strategic goals and business objectives.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with business objectives and IHG ways of working.
- Oversee talent acquisition and retention strategies to ensure a high-performing, diverse workforce.
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee performance, development, and conflict resolution.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, and maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Collaborate with senior management to drive business growth and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a small HR team, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Communication and Relationship Building: Develop and maintain effective communication and relationship-building skills, collaborating with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Business Acumen: Demonstrate strong business acumen, results-oriented, and commitment to driving continual improvement.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Autonomy and Workload Management: Ability to work autonomously, manage workload across properties, and key deliverables within a project opening timeline.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience within hotel human resources in a senior role.
- Prior involvement in a pre-opening is desirable.
- Proficiency in HR and Payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Tertiary education within a Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field (preferred).
- Full Australian Working Rights.
