Job Overview

The Indigenous Studies Unit is seeking an experienced professional to manage the delivery of large-scale research projects.

Your Responsibilities
  • Project Delivery: Coordinate multiple research projects, ensure timely completion of milestones and engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with partners, including Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations and international collaborators.
  • Research Support: Manage budgets, contribute to report and presentation development for various audiences and provide administrative support.
  • Risk Management: Identify project risks, implement mitigation strategies and maintain comprehensive project tracking registers.
Key Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, capable of coordinating complex research initiatives and engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders in cross-disciplinary settings.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in project management, particularly in the higher education research sector.
  • Knowledge: Advanced knowledge of research infrastructure development and operation.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Relationship Management: Strong relationship management and negotiation skills.
  • Community Engagement: Experience in community engagement and an understanding of qualitative research methodologies.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel and work occasional hours outside of ordinary business hours.
