Paediatric Speech Pathologist

We are seeking a dedicated Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our close-knit team at Foundation First Speech Pathology in Newcastle and Maitland. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment that prioritizes family and individual experiences.
About UsFoundation First Speech Pathology is a small, mobile speech pathology service operating in the Newcastle and Maitland area. We are committed to providing holistic interventions that prioritize family and client needs, focusing on supporting the voices of those with lived experience of disability and neurodivergence.
Salary and BenefitsOur estimated salary for this position is AU$120,000 per annum, plus up to $12,000 in Employee Reward bonuses available. Our benefits package includes:
- Above Award Salary
- Capped billables at 5 hours per day, including non-direct and travel time
- $750/year professional development budget PLUS 5 PAID Study Leave days per year (or equivalent for part-time)

This is a full-time or part-time opportunity for a Paediatric Speech Pathologist to provide services in the Newcastle and Maitland area. You will be working in a small team with a large degree of autonomy, seeing paediatric clients in the community or via telehealth. Clinicians are responsible for the day-to-day management of their caseloads, communication with families, and implementation of therapies.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant accredited degree in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility and membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- A Current NSW Driver's License and access to a vehicle
- A Current NDIS Worker's Check or ability to obtain one
- Fully vaccinated (3 doses) against COVID-19 or relevant Medical Exemption
As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist at Foundation First Speech Pathology, your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing functional goals with families and building capacity in the child's networks
- Implementing holistic approaches to early intervention
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support children and their families
- Working in partnership with local child and family services
