Culinary Operations Manager

The role of Catering Manager involves overseeing onsite catering operations in a fast-paced environment. Key responsibilities include managing a team, improving efficiency and profitability, maintaining service standards within budget, consulting with stakeholders regularly, and driving team performance.
About the Position
- Key Skills:
- Australian Citizenship or full Australian working rights
- Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing and police check
- Strong chef experience and work history (FIFO experience highly desirable)
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Advanced Food Handlers Certificate or Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Experience in high-pressure catering, boardroom, corporate, hotel, or events environment
- Previous supervisory or management experience
- Ability to manage a team of up to 30 staff
- Experience in menu planning and production
- Ability to control food and labour costs, with strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong financial and budgeting skills
- Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for all onsite catering operations
- Focus on improving efficiency and profitability
- Maintain high service standards within budget
- Consult with stakeholders regularly and drive team performance
- Develop and promote a safety-focused culture within your team
