Audit & Assurance Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Audit & Assurance professional to coordinate and manage engagements, contribute to business development, and play a critical role in the development of up-and-coming talent.

  • Possess technical expertise and maintain high work quality, providing solutions for clients and applying practical knowledge to assigned engagements.
  • Follow secure use guidelines for hardware, software, and client information, holding employees accountable for protecting assets and information.
  • Maintain proficiency with firm resources and computer applications, using effective file and workpaper organization techniques.
  • Share responsibility for keeping professionals informed on changes in standards, regulatory requirements, rules, and specialized industry laws and regulations.
  • Build engagement experience, target self-improvement activities, and develop broad-based business knowledge.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills in expressing opinions, teaching, coaching, and directing team members, working with clients, and documenting procedures.
Client Management and Service:
  • Gather necessary knowledge to handle issues outside existing knowledge or identify appropriate resources to assist clients.
  • Demonstrate good judgement by identifying potential issues and elevating them to superiors, along with recommended solutions, ensuring issue resolution.
  • Manage multiple client engagements, employee, and firm responsibilities while meeting client expectations and deadlines within established parameters.
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive client relationships through timely and responsive communication during engagements and periodic communication throughout the year.
Business Development:
  • Show awareness of new business importance by expanding peer/professional networks and participating in civic, professional, or industry groups.
  • Generate leads and turn them into new business opportunities.
  • Participate in marketing activities and help coordinate marketing efforts.
Leadership and Development:
  • Invest in the growth of others as professionals, refining and polishing your skills used in managing people.
  • Afford newer staff on engagements and provide on-the-job training.
  • Delegate effectively, provide timely performance feedback, and offer encouragement as needed.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a relevant field, CPA certification, and industry experience. They will also demonstrate a high level of integrity, respect confidentiality, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
