Job Opportunity

The Manager, Controls Assurance is responsible for supporting the achievement of strategic, operational, financial, and compliance objectives by managing a program of controls testing across SEO.

This role will work with stakeholders to manage the team to perform controls testing and control assurance activities, providing insight on the design and operating effectiveness of controls, compliance with policies, processes, and regulations, and suggest recommendations for improvements.

The Manager will be tasked with performing controls reviews end to end, including planning, scoping, fieldwork, reporting, and confidently presenting findings to influence senior management to remediate control gaps.

A key part of this role is to collaborate with stakeholders to maintain oversight of remediation activities across audit-identified areas of weakness, security-related incidents, potential emerging risks, and control gaps.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in working within a line 1 Assurance, line 2 Risk or audit function
  • Strong understanding of IT General Control principles and control assurance methodologies and practices
  • Understanding of risks associated with IT infrastructure and networks, IT resilience and recovery, public cloud computing, supplier risk management, and IT service management processes
