
Workplace Relations Attorney

Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert employment advice on complex matters such as commencement of employment, terms and conditions, performance management, termination of employment, equal opportunity, occupational and workplace health and safety.
- Draft contracts of employment, policies, procedures, pleadings, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate and prepare Enterprise Agreements, providing advice on award coverage and interpretation.
- Conduct litigation, including unfair dismissal, adverse action, industrial action, bullying claims, breach of contract claims, and discrimination claims.
- Advise on mandatory reporting and compliance with reportable conduct schemes.
- Manage student discipline, safety, and wellbeing issues, as well as stakeholder and media relations.
- Minimum 2–3 years' post-admission experience in workplace relations law, with a strong commercial mindset and practical approach.
- Desirable experience in the education sector, including student safety and wellbeing.
- Desirable experience in litigation and/or corporate governance.
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to handle a varied workload.
- Strong initiative, critical thinking, and strategic ability.
