At our organisation, you'll be part of a diverse team that leads engineering policy for critical infrastructure across the Defence estate. This includes airfields, electrical systems, mechanical engineering, fire engineering and fire safety, as well as permanent live fire training ranges.

This team is responsible for implementing and managing Defence's Estate Governance and Integrity System.

You will have key responsibility for reviewing, updating and providing advice on policy associated with one or more of these critical infrastructure areas. Your work will involve close collaboration with Defence infrastructure and enabling service delivery agencies, as well as government agencies such as the Civil Aviation Safety Authority and the Australian Building Codes Board.

State and Territory governments, as well as industry bodies, are also key stakeholders in the development and operation of the estate.

About Our Team

This team directly manages policies for Estate Governance and Integrity, Building Works, Fire Safety engineering, Airfield pavements inspection and maintenance, Aeronautical Ground Lighting, electrical services and infrastructure, HVAC, safety showers and eye washes, and live firing ranges design and compliance.

The team consists of mechanical, civil, fire, electrical and systems engineers, fire safety officers, and specialists in live firing training range design and compliance.
