Senior Quantity Surveyor

Laing O'Rourke is currently seeking a skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team on the Eastern Freeway – Burke to Tram Alliance project.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, ensuring effective governance of EBTA systems and delegations of authorities are implemented.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the success of the project by:
- Providing procurement support to ensure compliance with construction program requirements.
- Certifying and processing subcontractor claims in accordance with timing requirements.
- Assisting in managing PRISM inputs and outputs to ensure accurate forecasting.
- Identifying trends in forecast costs and proposing measures to remedy budget overrun.
- Working closely with key personnel to manage risks and opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A working knowledge of bonds, guarantees, warranties, insurances, letters of intent, and other common contractual mechanisms.
- Excellent claim management skills, including recording and submission of claims for delay and loss/expense.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and propose measures to address budget overrun.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
- A thorough understanding of programmes and their importance in project delivery.
