Senior Procurement Manager Job Description

This is a premium food manufacturer seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to lead its sourcing and supply chain function. The company operates in Australia, New Zealand, and Southeast Asia, with a strong retail presence and two state-of-the-art production facilities.

The company has nearly three decades of local heritage and French-inspired roots. It has earned a reputation for excellence in both retail and wholesale channels, operating multi-owned stores and supplying a growing network of customers.

About the Role

You will take full ownership of end-to-end procurement operations, including sourcing, negotiating supplier agreements, managing ESG requirements, and ensuring supply continuity across production facilities and retail sites. You will manage expenditure across diverse portfolios, including imported raw materials and consumables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead supplier negotiations and manage all supplier contracts
  • Review and enhance procurement policies and procedures
  • Manage ESG and modern slavery reporting requirements
  • Coordinate all import activities, including freight, cost calculations, and invoice management
  • Maintain optimal stock levels aligned to production forecasts
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and supply chain improvements
  • Support NPD sourcing requirements and item setup in ERP systems
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement, ideally within food manufacturing or FMCG
  • Proven success managing international supply chains and freight forwarders
  • Adept at supplier negotiations, sourcing, and contract management
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and purchasing processes
  • Commercially savvy with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Degree qualified in Business, Procurement, or related discipline
